The Sort Your Books Story

Sort your Books is owned and operated by Keri Whitelaw. With a background in Accounting and working as a Registered BAS Agent, Keri has been in the numbers game since she left school. Working for private companies and in the banking industry, she studied at night school and by correspondence to gain her Advanced Diploma in Accounting. Once qualified she worked in various Accounts Management positions and, around the time the GST came into effect in July 2000, Keri returned to work after the birth of her first son and became a Registered BAS Agent. This was the start of the SYB story and where it all began.

Keri’s work evolved from there, and while she grew her work into a full-time business she was soon offered a full-time position by one of her clients, Australian Ecosystems, who she worked with for 12 years as their Financial Controller. She then made the decision to move into operating her business in a full time basis.

Working as a Business Consultant, Bookkeeper and Registered BAS Agent has allowed her to have the flexibility to be available to her family and also establish Sort Your Books, which continues to thrive and grow through word of mouth and referrals.

“Keri at SYB handles all our day to day accounting and bookkeeping functions, and keeps our accounts & P&L updated on a regular basis, leaving me free to worry about running my business. Having Keri looking after our accounts is just like having her on staff, except much more cost effective & all handled remotely. Our accounts work is handled in a timely, efficient manner, without me having to ever worry about any of it!  I’d be happy to speak further on Keri’s behalf.”
